Jeff Salt is has been a businessman and deeply engaged model citizen of Salt Lake City for many years, first as owner of the Cosmic Aeroplane Bookstore, then as an employee of the Audobon Society, and more recently as the founder and director of Great Salt Lake Keepers, a nonprofit environmental advocacy group devoted to the preservation and restoration of the Great Salt Lake, its shorelines, and all tributaries within the Great Salt Lake watershed.

After 8 years of intense involvement as an activist for preservation and restoration of Great Salt Lake tributory streams and the Jordan River in particular, Jeff has an encyclopedic knowledge of the river itself, all aspects of water quality, river corridor planning and management.   He has been a tireless champion of environmental preservation and restoration.
